Nicolas Billecocq is appointed Chief Operating Officer of Azur Drones

Paris. May 13th, 2019 – Azur Drones, the European leader in autonomous drones, continues its development and structuration with the appointment of Nicolas Billecocq as COO. Nicolas Billecocq will support Jean-Marc Crépin, CEO of Azur Drones, in accelerating the development and industrialisation of the Skeyetech surveillance drone, pursuing the group’s international growth and bolstering its leading position on the market.  

 

With 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Nicolas Billecocq has an extensive knowledge of the challenges and constraints of the industry and of its international regulatory environment.

At Azur Drones, Nicolas will manage the company’s R&D and production activities, orchestrate deliveries and develop sales. He will also assist Jean-Marc Crépin with the definition of short- and mid-term corporate strategy on a constantly evolving drone market.

He brings to Azur Drones his industrial and managerial experience acquired during his career within the Safran Group. After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique and Supaero, Nicolas began his career on the Ariane 5 program before heading to Seattle to develop innovative technologies for the Boeing 787 landing gears. He later joined the group’s helicopter engines business where he managed the Engine Integration Competence Centre before being appointed Program Director for the Arriel and Arrius engines, the company’s best-selling products.
