Azur Drones raises additional € 3 million

Posted in News on June 11, 2018

After several fundraisings in 2016 and 2017, Azur Drones announces today, during the Eurosatory exhibition, a new fundraising of more than € 3 million. The company has thus raised more than € 10 million in 12 months and confirms its position as a key player in UAV solutions for video surveillance.

Enhancing the development and increasing the production

This new fundraising adopts the same line as the previous ones and must enable the company to speed up the development of its activity.

“We are extremely pleased that our investors have once again put their trust in our company which means that we have made the right choices by positioning Azur Drones as a high value-added player. We are also proud that our shareholder is still exclusively French. Thanks to this new fundraising, we will accelerate the commercialization of our Drones’Guard surveillance solutions in France and above all abroad” reports Jean-Marc Crepin, Azur Drones’ Chairman.

The company is expanding its sales force led by Charles Gillibert, the sales director, who thus manages a sales team of 8 people specialized by geographic areas.

Furthermore, Azur Drones is increasing its production capabilities in order to meet its sales growth. The group has new premises of more than 1 500 m² dedicated to the production and the research and development, and it is starting an ISO 9001 certification process.

Becoming the worldwide leader in UAV solutions for surveillance

With this new fundraising, the group’s ambition is still the same: take a global leadership position in UAV solutions for videosurveillance.

“Despite the high-potential of these markets, there are few drone manufacturers specialized in the defense and security fields. And those manufacturers generally offer a unique technology. We are the only company to have developed a complete range of products to meet the various needs in surveillance by drones.” explains Stephane Morelli, Azur Drones’ Chief Executive.

The company has developed 3 solutions belonging to the Drones’Guard brand: Skeyetech, a fully automated drone for the surveillance of sensitive sites; Flying Guard, a tethered drone system for long-lasting surveillance operations; and Flying Scout, a long-distance drone for wide-aera surveillance.
